BD Hughes MD - Sexual Assaults Arrest

1983 – I went to drop off the letter from attorney Richard Leonard to stop Hughes, Dunn, and St. Joseph’s from continuing to give ECT’s to my mother against her will. The office was empty except for one woman who was wearing a baby doll outfit. She was in her thirties. I knew her. Hughes had addicted her to drugs, and wouldn’t provide her with any more drugs unless she provided sexual services to him. He had broken her down as he did to other women. I remember being at her parent’s house in Nashua. She was crying upstairs from her bedroom, “mom called Hughesy. Please call Hughesy. I can’t take this anymore.”

Patricia Hughes was behind the reception counter.  She gave that usual plastic smile, snotty disposition of not even acknowledging someone as human. Not asking how my mother or my father were doing. She asked, “Oh is this payment for the doctor?”

The drugging and the sexual assaulting of women patients were not just a few patients. It was a holocaust and no one was doing anything to stop it. The medical practitioners, with skeletons in their own closets, the patients in shame, the others ‘who don’t want to get involved,’ as it’s not ‘their problem.’ Just foreshadowing for the systemic decay of society, community, and family that is coming should we do nothing.

Hughes’s patients went to other physicians after his suicide. A physician walked into the examining room. The new patient was stark naked on the examination table. He said to her, “I didn’t ask you to disrobe.” She replied, “Dr. Hughes always had me do this.”

A relative of Hughes had told me that he was the evilest man on earth. I passed the envelope to Patricia Hughes and walked out.

Hughes was talked about back in the 1970s by the pharmacists at Whitney Pharmacy as being ‘easy,’ with prescribing drugs. Hughes was sexually assaulting women after he drugged them in the 1980s from the women that I spoke with who had been drugged, addicted, and repeatedly assaulted.

Roger, who owned Town and Country Pharmacy, knew the physicians who were drugging the city with psychiatric/psychotropics. He had told me that the physicians prescribed the same drugs to everyone. Hughes was the Dalmane, Valium, and Elavil treadmill. Von Oldenburg, Mellaril, a powerful anticholinergic neuroleptic major sedative/tranquilizer that shuts down the limbic system of the brain. It like many psychotropics used to ‘treat’ but actually inducing ‘chemical lobotomy’ and the  ‘zombie shuffle.’ Roger said that he thought that the drugs would harm my mother. I asked him why that he would fill the prescriptions when he knew this. He replied, “I just fill what they write,” cold and inhuman like a Nazi tossing another Jew in the oven for profit.

There were other physicians involved in not only the ‘conspiracy of silence,’ but also the drugging, the fraud, and the sexual assaults. Their lack of accountability sealed in silence and protected by the ‘mob mentality,’ of quacktitioners ganging up against victims and their family members in Nashua.

A classmate from high school saw the horror. His wife and her friends were repeatedly assaulted by Hughes for narcotics along with many other doctors. I saw percodan parties. Many women with prescriptions from Hughes admitting that he had sexually assaulted them. My mother’s best friend, Mrs. Soloman? told my mother that Hughes had slapped her on her butt and she felt that this was an assault. My mother said that he was just joking around. She had gone to see Hughes after her divorce for professional help. My mother’s friend told my mom that Hughes had given her many free samples. My mother’s friend would burn alive in a motel that she was living at after she fell asleep on these free sample drugs while smoking. I have yet to speak with her son, his parents bought a go-cart and my mini bike from my parents many years back.

The ganging up by physicians against women is nothing new for St Joseph’s. They all make money from the atrocities committed against patients. Their silence kept in check by the secrecy of malpractices that were committed by practitioners. The nurses, fearing to lose their jobs, were silenced as patients were being harmed. The physicians were also neutralizing attorneys in law suits by having dirt on the attorneys.

Years back a pregnant woman had lost her baby because a physician at St Joseph’s had prescribed a drug that killed the fetus. No other physicians in the city would see her after her unborn child had been killed by this incompetent and cowardly practitioner.  All the physicians ganged up against the woman when she tried to find an ethical physician and get help. All she wanted was an apology from the physician.

The late Richard Leonard told me that she sued the physician, won the case and wanted only one dollar, and had to leave Nashua as the maltreatment of the victim who stood up continued.

From history, things never change to protect the oppressed or those discriminated against without deadly violent retaliation. I speculate that if any of the so-called medical ‘professionals,’ at St Joseph’s were

to have their daughters or their granddaughters, their wives, their mothers placed in restraints, drugged, assaulted, sexually/psychologically, hit with ETC’s, might help the physicians to appreciate ‘ethical’. Then terrified and shattered women who stand up for justice are gang-raped by ‘professional’ colleagues of the perpetrator. All signing that a ‘Ted Bundy type’ psychopath was a ‘nice  quiet neighbor.’ Maybe after the practitioners saw the horror first hand, the blood, the suffering of one of their own, the fear and sheer terror in their loved one’s eyes, their lives destroyed, then they might consider standing up for others. It would be good to see the so-called ‘professionals’, be professionals instead of the cowards that are so well known to be on staff at St Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua NH.

The ‘professional courtesy,’ given by other medical practitioners to remain silent only compounds the never-ending suffering, and profiteering from the misery of others. The great failures of an immoral, unconscionable so-called medical ‘professionalism’ based on profit at the expense of human lives, happiness, and joy. It doesn’t matter from which side of the political fence that a person throws words from, both are selling the souls of future generations by not doing anything to help/protect everyone. Hiding behind ‘religions,’ as ‘their’ God is going to take the

horror ‘out of their midsts,’ is not going to happen. Pure evil is allowed to grow when the veil of sanctified holiness does not take an active role, and their hands being idle and retracted from doing anything to help others. Those who hide behind their herd of a political party, the other political side being ‘responsible,’ for that is wrong with the world, when both sides are covered in blood as a result of personal, social, and institutional complacency.

Hughes, Fontana, Von Oldenburg, Eisen, Gaul, and Dunn are all psychopaths. In layman’s terms, they are evil, pure evil, that prey on the weakness of those who come to them for help. The ‘new inquisition’ professionalized with a wrapper of psychiatry, a ‘pseudo-science’. Their charm, compassion, integrity, being a guise in many cases. The white medical smock, a predator in medical clothing, might look clean, but it is covered in the blood of human lives at St Joseph’s Hospital. They gravitate into clicks, little groups of their own. They fool everyone until they don’t, and when they don’t, they are protected by the shame of their victims. They are protected by other practitioners who have been pulled into their web and St Joseph’s Hospital and the Grey Nuns doing nothing to investigate or to protect patients or the public at large.
